Accuracy before certainty
We publish direct answers, but not false precision. When a currency’s status changed over time, the answer must name the phase. When historians disagree, the disagreement belongs in the page. A confident slogan is not a substitute for a classification rule.
Evidence standards
Material historical and institutional claims should be supported by primary records or serious scholarship. Current laws and policies require current official sources. We do not cite anonymous investment promotions, bullion dealers, token issuers, or partisan monetary advocacy as neutral authorities on disputed facts.
Neutrality and financial topics
FiatCurrency.org explains systems, trade-offs, and history. It does not tell readers to buy currencies, gold, securities, or digital assets. Comparison pages use consistent dimensions—redemption, governance, supply, settlement, legal integration, and risk—and avoid investment-performance conclusions unless a page is explicitly designed and reviewed for that purpose.
Authorship and review
Pages identify the responsible publisher and their publication or substantive-review date. We will add named authors and reviewers only with accurate biographies, conflict disclosures, and real participation. We do not invent credentials, expert review, institutional affiliations, or fact-checking claims.
Updates
A modified date changes only after a substantive review or correction, not for cosmetic formatting. Volatile sections display a checked date where practical. Material corrections appear in the public correction log.
Funding, advertising, and conflicts
The launch site contains no advertising, paid placements, or affiliate links. If that changes, paid relationships will be labeled near the relevant content and will not determine editorial conclusions. Sponsored links will receive the appropriate link attributes. Ownership and material conflicts will be disclosed on the About page.
