What we publish
The site combines concise explainers with deep reference material: a global history, monetary-system timeline, classification matrix, comparison guides, myth checks, and transparent source lists. The focus is fiat currency, but the subject necessarily includes commodity money, representative money, bank deposits, gold standards, central banks, stablecoins, and CBDCs.
Our point of view
We are pro-definition and pro-evidence. Fiat systems can be durable or catastrophic; gold systems can constrain policy and still experience banking crises; paper can be redeemable; bank deposits are private credit; and 1971 was decisive without being the invention of fiat money. Good analysis starts after those distinctions are made.
Ownership and funding
FiatCurrency.org is independently owned. At launch, the publication carries no advertising, affiliate links, token promotion, sponsored research, or paid placement. If the funding model changes, the relationship will be disclosed clearly and will not give sponsors control over editorial conclusions.
Authorship status
The launch research is published under the responsible organization, FiatCurrency.org. No individual expert credentials or external review are claimed. A named author or reviewer profile will appear only after the owner supplies an accurate biography and that person has genuinely reviewed the work.
